Directed from our practice at Whelby House, in Old Harlow, is the Whelby Premier centre. We like to call this The Hub. The Hub is where you will be able to receive any advanced or specialist treatment for root canals and gum disease, for example, as well as implants and cosmetic work.
Whelby On Demand is a pay as you go service. Bespoke treatment plans with costings will be tailored to your needs following a full assessment. These will be fully explained and agreed before any treatment is undertaken. We pride ourselves on working with you to achieve the goals you desire.
If you are a member of one of our satellite sites, you will be entitled to exclusive discounts on Whelby On Demand, should you ever require them.
Mark Whetstone
Mark has been running the practice for many years and has great experience in planning your treatment and getting you seen by the most appropriate practitioners to give you the best results possible. Mark will also undertake restorative work to help improve your smile and the comfort of your teeth. Mark is very approachable and a great person to chat with so you can find out what the best results you can get for your teeth and smile.
Endodontics (Root Canal Treatment)
Fernando has a Masters in Endodontics (root canal work), and attends the Whelby Hub to carry out endodontic treatments. He understands that root canal treatment isn’t a treatment that is often eagerly anticipated and is very caring and understanding of any worries you might have.
It is important that complex endodontic procedures are carried out by an experienced practitioner if they are to be successful, and you can rest assured that you couldn’t be in better hands.
Implants
The implant team – made up of consultant oral surgeons, dentists and nursing staff – is here to provide an excellent comprehensive service with minimal stress or discomfort. We are able to cover a full range of cases, from simple single implants to full mouth rehabilitations.
The whole team are very understanding and always listen to patient requirements and specifications to ensure they achieve the desired outcome.
Oral Surgery
As an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, I am both medically and dentally qualified. I operate mostly on and around the face area and have been doing this for over 10 years. I'm therefore well trained and able to deal with most facial and oral problems, as well as cosmetic facial procedures.
I am an extremely hard working and motivated person. I have an excellent working relationship with my colleagues and always strive to provide the very best quality care for my patients. I have undergone general surgical as well as maxillofacial training for over 10 years, which includes a one-year post-CCT paediatric craniofacial fellowship. During this time, I had extensive training in all aspects of maxillofacial and oral surgery, including rhinoplasty and facial cosmetic procedures.
